AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Wesley Community Center and other local agencies are set to host a Barrio Safety Fair on Nov. 18, featuring community health and safety leaders offering information, resources and tools for residents.
The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Wesley Community Center, located at 1615 S Roberts St. It is expected to include information booths, free take-home winter clothing and items, and opportunities to connect with local safety and wellness providers. A free meal and snacks will also be available for attendees.
“We believe safety begins with community,” said America Adame, event organizer and Wesley Community Center executive director. “That’s why we’re excited to bring together organizations and individuals who genuinely care about improving the wellbeing of our neighborhood.”
