Businesses say Airway project is hurting bottom line

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) —Drivers aren’t the only ones feeling the impact of ongoing construction along Airway Boulevard in East Central El Paso. Some businesses in a shopping center near the work zone say lane closures and orange cones are making it harder for customers to get in the door.

The work is part of an El Paso Water project to replace aging waterlines under Airway Boulevard. Traffic has been reduced  to one lane in the area between Edgemere Boulevard and Gateway Boulevard West.
