Big things are about to happen as the Lone Star State’s favorite grocer embarks on a $32.3 million glow-up of one of its locations in the Coastal Bend.
The H-E-B Plus! located at 5313 Saratoga Blvd. on Corpus Christi’s southside will begin a mammoth renovation and expansion project in 2026, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. TDLR records, subject to change, indicate that the eight-figure renovation project will commence in May 2026 and span approximately a year. As part of the project, the store’s interior will be remodeled and expanded to nearly 179,000 square feet.
The renovation project is being designed by pb2 architecture + engineering, a firm based out of Rogers, Arkansas. The firm focuses on commercial development and has previously designed projects for H-E-B, Walmart, Sam’s Club and other grocers, according to its portfolio.
