Texas Tech University’s Office of Outreach and Engagement is accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice. The position also includes serving as Executive Director for the Center for Junction. The role will begin on January 1, 2025, at the university’s Junction campus. The selected candidate will have teaching and administrative duties. Responsibilities include online instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels, and oversight of the Outdoor Learning Lab, professional staff, and the Junction Conference Center.
The position involves managing outreach and engagement partnerships, especially those related to K-12 education and STEM activities. The Executive Director will develop and support programs for community engagement. This includes professional development workshops for K-12 teachers and initiatives for outdoor learning. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as education, science, biology, or STEM. Teaching and administrative experience at the post-secondary level is required.
