Legal response filed against Arkansas father accused in death of  daughter’s suspected abuser

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. – The Arkansas prosecutor has filed a response in a court case alleging an Arkansas father murdered a man he accused of raping his daughter.

Aaron Spencer is facing charges of second-degree murder in the 2024 shooting death of Michael Fosler. The Nov. 7 filing is the state’s response to Spencer’s attorney’s request for evidence to be excluded.

According to the filing, Spencer shot Fosler after spotting the man driving his daughter. Fosler, at the time, was released on bond after being accused of raping Fosler’s underage daughter in July of 2024.
