(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has confirmed that two people were shot during an officer-involved shooting on Thursday, Nov. 13.
CSPD reports that just before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, police received a call reporting a burglary in progress, potentially with firearms involved, in the 500 block of South Nevada Avenue, near the intersection of S. Nevada Ave. and East Cimarron Street.
According to the official report, three people exited an apartment while officers were trying to contact whoever called 911. CSPD reports that one of these people was a man with a rifle, who allegedly raised it toward an officer. In response, “the officer fired multiple shots, striking two individuals.”…
