Springfield Residents Can Now Pick Up Free 2026 Canines for Clean Water Calendars

Residents of Springfield, Oregon, can now pick up a free 2026 Canines for Clean Water Calendar at locations across the city. The calendar is produced by the City’s Stormwater Team. Its goal is to raise awareness about picking up pet waste to protect local rivers from pollution. The initiative is held annually and features local dogs.

The 2026 calendar includes 12 dogs chosen from over 160 photo submissions by Springfield residents. City staff selected the winners, who were then photographed for the calendar. Peter Jaeger, an Environmental Services Technician, said responsible pet ownership helps protect both pets and waterways. He noted the link between clean rivers and community health.
