Child hit, hospitalized in central Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the central Las Vegas valley, according to police.

The crash was reported around 6:04 p.m. on Friday at the corner of Rome Street and Sierra Vista Drive near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway.

The child was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed at the scene, and impairment is not suspected, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
