On November 13, 2025, Corvallis Police responded to a shooting at Willamette Park at 1349 SE Goodnight Ave. Officers arrived and found two people involved. One person was deceased. Police said the incident followed an argument between the two, who knew each other. The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of family.
Later that evening, detectives arrested 28-year-old Brandon Tegan of Corvallis. He faces charges of Murder 2, Assault 1, Manslaughter 1, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Tegan is being held at the Benton County Jail. The Corvallis Police Department thanked partner agencies for their help in the investigation.
