Albany officer caught on video punching woman; review underway

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — An Albany police officer’s actions during an arrest are under internal review after a video captured him punching a woman.

The incident occurred 10 days ago near the Albany Public Library. Cheyann Mitchell, who recorded the video, said the altercation followed five minutes of yelling and screaming. The video shows the officer on top of the woman, handcuffing her, as bystanders demanded badge numbers.
