BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The Grooms Road Fire in the Milk Sick Cove is officially 100% contained, according to the North Carolina Forest Service’s fire map.
The fire had reignited on Nov. 14 after being 100% contained on Nov. 13.
The fire had initially reached 22 acres on Nov. 13 before being contained. When the fire ignited, it grew to about 36 acres.
While the Grooms Road Fire is 100% contained, according to the map, the last update on the Low Brush Creek Fire in Fairview was at 4 p.m. on Nov. 14, saying the 28-acre fire was 90% contained.
