Man sentenced to 1 year, to pay $13K, after hit-and-run in front of Granby High

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was sentenced to one year and four months in prison Nov. 7 after causing a three-car accident in front of Granby High and fleeing the scene, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.

The accident occurred March 22, 2024 in which 33-year-old Gilley Nash Gilreath rear-ended the car in front of him traveling north on the 7100 block of Granby Street. The car Gilreath rear-ended subsequently hit the car in front of them and all three cars suffered significant damage, according to the CA’s office.

The CA’s office further states Gilreath took items out of his car and walked towards his house without assisting the people involved or exchanging information. He was identified and arrested after Granby High speed cameras captured the incident…
