COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Warmer than normal temperatures and gusty winds are expected through the rest of the weekend.

First Alert Summary
Southwesterly winds will keep our weather on the milder side through this evening and overnight! Low temperatures are forecast to only fall to the upper 50s under a mostly clear sky.
Winds will also pick up through the night and into Sunday out ahead of an approaching cold front. A Lake Wind Advisory will be in effect from midnight until 3 PM Sunday for gusts up to 30 MPH.
Outside of breezy winds, all outdoor plans will be good to go for Sunday with more sunshine in the forecast. High temperatures will rise well above normal in the afternoon to the upper 70s to near 80-degrees. A dry cold front is forecast to pass through the Midlands by Sunday evening.
Temperatures are forecast to cool down by early next week in the wake of the front. Highs will run closer to normal Monday afternoon in the middle to upper 60s with overnight lows back in the upper 30s.
Another quick warm up is expected for the rest of the week with upper 70s likely by mid-week.
