End of an era for Tennessee homecoming as walking horse tradition is retired

A beloved University of Tennessee homecoming tradition is being retired for safety reasons.

There will be no Tennessee walking horse at Neyland Stadium on Nov. 15 as the Vols take on the New Mexico State Aggies.

Each year, a Tennessee walking horse and a 4-H rider circle the field ahead of the UT Knoxville homecoming game…
