Nazareth Home in Louisville Named One of America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026

Nazareth Home in Louisville, Kentucky, and Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, have been named to the America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list. Both facilities have Catholic roots and were established by women religious focused on caring for older adults. Nazareth Home was founded in 1976 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Vincentian Home began in 1924 under the Vincentian Sisters of Charity.

Nazareth Home provides long-term care, short-term recovery, and family support in Louisville. Its sister campus, Nazareth Home Clifton, offers similar services. The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth have served vulnerable groups, including the elderly, since 1812.

Vincentian Home in Pittsburgh started as a small cottage for adults needing nursing care. It has expanded into a regional provider. In 2008, the Vincentian Sisters of Charity joined the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
