New judge appointed in state case against Lindsey Whiteside

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A new judge has been appointed to preside over the state case against Lindsey Whiteside, who pleaded guilty to sexual battery of a child by a person of trust or authority.

This comes after DeSoto County Circuit Court Judge Andrew K. Howorth recused himself from the case on Oct. 21, following public comments on the matter from DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton.
