Three arrested in Mobile County drug trafficking case

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested three people after a month-long drug investigation in the Eight Mile area.

According to an MCSO news release, deputies arrested a “synthetic marijuana (spice) and high-grade marijuana trafficker.”

A search warrant was executed at a home on Durant Avenue after surveillance was conducted, leading deputies to allegedly find:

  • 16 pounds of high-grade, vacuum-sealed marijuana
  • 169.4 grams of spice
  • One AR-style rifle
  • One semi-automatic pistol, based on the AK-47 rifle design
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Assorted currency received through drug trafficking

31-year-old Derrell Renard Maye, 22-year-old Antonio Deanthany Sykes, and 28-year-old Erica Le’eisha Scott were all arrested through the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
