Gatlinburg, TN – A windy and potentially hazardous night is ahead for the Tennessee mountains, as the National Weather Service in Morristown issues a Wind Advisory from 7 PM this evening through 7 AM Sunday for portions of northeast and eastern Tennessee, including the Smoky Mountains.
According to the Weather Service, west winds will increase steadily after sunset, reaching sustained speeds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph in the higher elevations. The advisory includes Johnson, Unicoi, Northwest and Southeast Carter, Southeast Greene, Southeast Monroe, and the Blount and Sevier Smoky Mountain counties…
