A couple who moved to Newport News in January is desperately seeking a new place to live after enduring a series of unfortunate events at their current apartment, River Park Towers. The couple’s grievances range from an infestation of mold and roaches to a lack of heat or AC until the end of July, and even a break-in. As their lease is due to end at the start of the new year, they are eager to find a new, safer home. The couple is open to any rental properties, apartments, or houses, as long as they are functional, safe, and within a 20-minute commute to the shipyard. They also have three cats and pet rats, so a pet-friendly environment is a must.
