A new ambulance has arrived at the bays of Moneta Volunteer Rescue Squad. The 2025 Demers MXP170 has many new enhancements that offer improved life saving measures.
“Enhancements of note include a Stryker power load stretcher that has hydraulics and can assist with loading patients into the ambulance,” said Moneta Volunteer Rescue Squad First Lieutenant. Milt Hobbs. “There’s also Life Pack 35— a high-tech min doc-in-the-box— that’s a more advanced version and can do EKGs, monitor carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, O2 saturation in the blood.”
Hobbs also said the ambulance is equipped with the latest and greatest in passenger restraints. A few more modifications are being completed to the ambulance before it is ready to run calls in about two weeks…
