Since the spring of 2024, giant trolls have invaded Rhode Island. At first these towering Thomas Dambo creations were only found in Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI, making trips to find them an easy one-stop drive.
Now however, there are five massive recycled wood trolls throughout the entire Ocean State — with the promise of two more trolls in 2026.
Troll hunters now have several cities and towns to visit in the quest to find each one. We give you the locations of them all right here.
Meet the Five Trolls & Their Locations

Considering the Rhode Island project was always intended to be a ‘Troll Trail’, the ‘surprises’ promised are likely additional trolls. Dambo intended these pieces to be interconnected and each contain clues that lead to a final, hidden ‘Thunder Stone’, so 2026 might give us the ‘Thunder Stone’ itself.
