Henderson Lake control structure to receive $1 million in major upgrades

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) — The Henderson Lake Control Structure in St. Martin Parish is set to receive major upgrades for the first time in decades, aimed at protecting nearby communities and maintaining the lake’s health for recreational use.

The structure, originally built in the 1960s, has been crucial in managing water levels in St. Martin Parish. Parish President Pete Delcambre emphasized the necessity of these upgrades, noting the deterioration of the timbers due to continuous water flow.
