(KATV) — The defense team for Aaron Spencer, the Lonoke County father accused of shooting and killing a man he believed had victimized his teenage daughter, filed a new public plea today, sharply disputing the state’s characterization of what happened that night. It comes as prosecutors released a detailed timeline outlining the events leading up to the shooting, revealing deep disagreement between both sides as the case moves closer to trial.
According to prosecutors, the timeline begins at 1:12 a.m. on October 8, 2024, when Spencer’s wife called 911 to report their teenage daughter missing. Investigators say Spencer left home immediately and began searching nearby roads.
