Scout Motors announced that it chose Charlotte, North Carolina as the location for its U.S. headquarters. The automaker plans to create create 1,200 jobs at the site over the next five years.
Following a multi-state evaluation process, the company will locate its headquarters within Commonwealth, a mixed-use development in Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood.
The Charlotte headquarters will serve as the home base for executive leadership, research and development, finance, IT, sales, marketing and other key corporate functions.
