On November 14, 2025, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit began investigating a homicide at 7th Street and Davidson Street in Charlotte’s Central Division. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision with injuries shortly before 11:00 p.m. They found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Novant Hospital and was pronounced dead.
Detective Kennedy is leading the investigation. Crime Scene Search, Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire Department, and MEDIC are assisting.
