Here’s when the annual Leonids meteor shower is set to peak

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – November is one of the best months of the year to view meteors. The Southern Taurids and Northern Taurids filled the night sky in the first half of the month, and now it’s time for the Leonid meteor shower.

That peaks the night of Nov. 16 into the early hours of Nov. 17, NASA says.

Under ideal conditions, the Leonids can produce up to 15 meteors per hour. The annual shower occurs when Earth passes through debris left behind by Comet Tempel-Tuttle, with meteors appearing to radiate from the constellation Leo.
