NBC Connecticut sports reporter Matt Finkel is swapping Huskies for Tigers at a new gig out of state.
Finkel, who has had an award-winning tenure with NBC Connecticut since joining in 2019, is moving to WWJ, the CBS television affiliate in Detroit, as a sports anchor and reporter.
A representative from Mort Meisner Associates, the talent agency that represents Finkel, confirmed the move to CT Insider. The group originally posted on its website about Finkel’s new job on Nov. 5. Finkel did not immediately respond to a request for comment…
