Habitat for Humanity celebrates new build kickoff

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton celebrated the beginning of its newest achievement, a home for a local family, on Friday, Nov. 14.

The build is a partnership between Dayton Habitat, CareSource, Liberty High School, and Youth Build Dayton.

The Liberty students are also learning valuable hands-on trade skills while building the new home.

“The students will be out here building this house start to finish,” said Norm Miozzi, executive director for Habitat for Humanity. “It’s great to see that the young people of Dayton want to go into the trades, learning the trades on a real house rather than just in a classroom.
