Scouts, Osceola schools donate 25,000 pounds of food for families

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Local members of Scouting America, in collaboration with the Osceola School District, donated hundreds of pounds of food for families in Central Florida.

Scouts, school district members, JROTC cadets from St. Cloud High School, and volunteers met on Saturday to deliver Thanksgiving baskets.

Scouting America Central Florida Field Director Brian Gorman says 750 baskets were assembled, helping more than 7,000 people this holiday season. Across the seven counties they represent, Gorman says 348,000 pounds of food were collected — 25,000 pounds in Osceola alone…
