NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 72-year-old man was killed Thursday evening while walking on Interstate 24 after a flat tire.
The crash happened near mile marker 42 at the I-24 West/I-65 split around 5:50 p.m.
According to Metro police, the Hopkinsville man was a passenger in a Chevy Impala, which had stopped on the right shoulder with two flat tires. The victim got out and walked onto the interstate to find the mile marker to give to a wrecker service, but their call ended abruptly.
