ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The cleanup continued in Rochester after a massive water main break on Tuesday sent about 2 million gallons of water into the streets near Culver Road and Meredith Street. According to the city, neighbors were still dealing with the aftermath days later.
News10NBC’s Tom Kowalski visited the area to speak with those affected by the flooding. Salena Klass, a resident, said, “Every day is a little bit better. We finally have heat. As of last night, we were able to get a furnace and move back home.”
Klass lived a few houses down from the break and faced at least three feet of water in her basement. She mentioned ongoing expenses, saying, “We’re getting estimates for mold remediation. Structural, like an engineer is going to come by and check on the house.”…
