In a string of arrests connected to a series of vehicle burglaries and financial frauds, Austin Police have successfully apprehended two suspects alleged to have been involved in these incidents, according to the City of Austin report. Armynie White, a 22-year-old black female, and Tyrique Young, a 24-year-old black male, were taken into custody on November 6th, 2025.
According to the Austin Police Department, the arrests bring a temporary cessation to the Austin Park Vehicle Burglary series, which had been the focus of an investigation by the APD North Metro Tactical Unit for several months. Officers had previously pegged White and Young as suspects for these burglaries and related financial crimes. Young’s arrest in particular was notable as he was found in possession of a property uniquely identified as stolen from a recent vehicle burglary.
APD case #25-9026403 pertains to Tyrique Young, who was wanted in connection with credit and debit card abuse. The cards in question were reportedly taken from a vehicle at the Bull Creek Trailhead on October 8th, and Young was captured without incident. Upon his arrest, Young was discovered with a distinctive item, believed to be stolen from a Mount Bonnell vehicle burglary on November 2nd.
