LUBBOCK, Texas— On Thursday, Jamarquit Kelly, also known as “Baby K”, was sentenced to 22 years (264 months) in federal prison for the charge of kidnapping.

Kelly pleaded guilty back in July of 2025. EverythingLubbock.com previously reported in January of 2024 that Kelly, along with Ryan Scott and one other, kidnapped a woman and demanded a $3,000 ransom from the victim’s brother.

Court documents also showed Kelly was the one who pressed a gun against the woman’s head and told her she’d be killed if she didn’t talk.
