Lithium-ion battery pack identified as cause of Ashburn house fire, damages exceed $1.2M

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A lithium-ion battery pack has been identified as the cause of a house fire in Ashburn, according to the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office.

The fire, which occurred just before noon on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, resulted in damages estimated at $1,252,152.

The Loudoun County Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting the fire in the 19000 block of Kipheart Drive. Fire and rescue crews from Lansdowne, Ashburn, Moorefield, Kincora, and Leesburg, along with multiple command and safety officers, responded.
