“A Lot of Power, Little Accountability”: Moms Push for Reform of Child Custody Advocate Role

ATLANTA — Custody fights are rarely simple. When parents can’t agree, judges will often appoint a guardian ad litem — someone meant to act as a neutral advocate for the child caught in the middle.
