On Saturday, November 15, 2025, Jefferson County deputies responded to a reported robbery attempt at a home on Mulga Loop Road in Birmingham, Alabama. A 33-year-old male suspect was shot during the incident and fled into a nearby wooded area. No other injuries were reported.
Later that afternoon, deputies found the suspect near Carraway Boulevard and 7th Avenue North in downtown Birmingham. He was taken into custody and transported to UAB Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. Authorities plan to move him to the Jefferson County Jail after his release.
