(WJW) — Scattered rain showers and a few thundershowers developed along a strong cold front Saturday evening. This rain activity moved into western Pennsylvania by 9 p.m., and much of the area will stay dry Saturday night.
Gusty southwest winds helped drive temperatures into the 60s on Saturday. The winds will become northwesterly behind the cold front Saturday evening. Saturday night and Sunday will still be windy.
Wind gusts Saturday night could be as high as 30 mph and wind gusts on Sunday could be up to 40 mph. Sunday is not going to be the best day to rake up the leaves or hang up the holiday decorations.
Much colder air will start to pour into Northeast Ohio behind the cold front Saturday night. Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees by Sunday morning.
You will notice a BIG change in the weather on Sunday! Temperatures Sunday afternoon will only be in the lower to mid 40s, which will be about 20 degrees colder than on Saturday. The high on Sunday will likely be recorded just after midnight.
