Charlottesville wine shop offers food support to SNAP recipients

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Wine Guild of Charlottesville is offering community members utilizing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) a bag of shelf-stable goods to add to their pantries.

“If somebody can walk in and grab some beans and some tinned fish and make a dinner out of it or two, we’ve done what we can,” said Will Curley, owner of The Wine Guild of Charlottesville.

Curley said the shop has become known for its tinned fish and dried beans, and sharing that stock was an easy decision they could make to help their neighbors…
