Woman charged for shoplifting with child in tow

Monroe Township, Pa. — A 35-year-old Newport woman was charged for allegedly shoplifting at the Selinsgrove Walmart store while her young son stood by.

Police say Cortney Lynn Snyder was at the store on Nov. 1 when she used a barcode from a lower-priced item to pay for an item that was $240.

Trooper Osayomwonbor Algbedo of Pennsylvania State Police at Selisngrove reviewed video footage and saw Snyder committed the retail theft in the presence of her young son, according to the affidavit…
