MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man was arrested one year after officials say he shot at a vehicle, leaving a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and injuring two children.
Waltez Jones, 32, is charged with four counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and four counts of Employment of a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony, authorities say. He was arrested Friday, Nov. 14 by members of the Memphis Safe Task Force.
The shooting happened on Nov. 14, 2024 when a man, a woman, and two children were inside a vehicle. Multiple shots were fired at them from a nearby vehicle, allegedly driven by Jones, the woman’s former partner.
