MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Youth Minds United is leading a campaign in Westwood to help their local community during what they say has been an especially tough time for young people in Memphis.
The group hosted a press conference at the Westwood Community Center to talk about their plans to provide hot meals and clothing to children and families in need on November 26 from 12 to 3 p.m., the day before Thanksgiving.
They are also calling on adults both in power and in the community to show up for young people and listen to their concerns about gun violence, education and mental health, saying they aren’t just the future of Memphis, but the present…
