Austin, TX – A months-long investigation into a string of vehicle burglaries at Austin parks led to the arrests of two suspects on Thursday, November 6, according to the Austin Police Department’s North Metro Tactical Unit.
Investigators had previously identified Armynie White and Tyrique Young as suspects connected to the burglary series and related financial crimes.
Arrest of Tyrique Young — APD Case #25-9026403Police arrested Young after learning he had an active warrant for Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse tied to banking cards stolen from a vehicle at the Bull Creek Trailhead on October 8. Officers located Young and took him into custody without incident. During his arrest, Young was found with a distinctive item reported stolen in a more recent vehicle burglary at Mount Bonnell on November 2.
