Austin Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Suspect in Hit-and-Run Case on W Ben White Blvd

On a Thursday evening in late October, the Austin Police Department responded to a severe incident involving a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured and resulted in the tragic death of a dog. According to an official statement released by the authorities, the collision occurred on the 1600 block of W Ben White Blvd. at around 8:06 p.m.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital and has fortunately been able to be released since. However, the search for the suspect, who chose to hastily leave the scene instead of facing the consequences, is still ongoing. The APD is asking for the public’s help in locating a blue or black two-door Chevrolet pickup truck believed to be the vehicle involved in the accident.
