LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech had another spectacular Saturday, as they dismantled UCF 48-9 in front of a sold out crowd of Red Raider fans.
It seems voters in the Associated Press and USA Today/AFCA Coaches polls were paying attention to their staggering victory, as Texas Tech saw their ranking rise in both. The Red Raiders had the biggest leap in the AP poll, where they jumped two spots to tie for No. 6 with Oregon. The team improved one spot in the Coaches poll, now slotted at No. 7.

With their convincing win and chaos surrounding teams in front of them, Texas Tech can expect to move up again in these official rankings on Tuesday.
