Chicago duo arrested for Cicero burglary

CICERO, Ill. (WGN) – Two Chicago residents were arrested for burglarizing a Cicero business and restraining a resident of an adjacent apartment.

Cicero police said 47-year-old Jeremiah Mays and 20-year-old Maranda Butler have been charged with burglary and unlawful restraint.

Authorities said at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Cicero police officers were conducting a targeted special operation in response to recent overnight burglaries when they were notified of a burglar alarm going off at a business located in the 5600 block of West Roosevelt Road.
