Mayor Cara Spencer has signed three bills providing $13.71 million to support St. Louis residents affected by the recent tornado and others in need of winter shelter. The City of St. Louis reported that the measures were passed by the Board of Aldermen to address urgent housing needs.
Board Bill 93, sponsored by Alderman Rasheen Aldridge, adds $1 million from accrued Rams interest to the Impacted Tenants’ Fund for displaced tornado-affected residents. Board Bill 94, sponsored by Alderwoman Alisha Sonnier, allocates $3.36 million from accrued Rams interest for winter shelter operations, supplies, extended hours, and transportation.
