AARP Idaho grants Idaho Hispanic Community Center a sound upgrade

Technology is great, until it’s not. Fortunately for the Idaho Hispanic Community Center in Nampa, it had a helping hand in improving the audiovisual deficiencies in its multipurpose room.

AARP — a 501©(3) nonprofit — awarded the community center, known as IH2C, a total of $21,000 in grants. Of the total, $15,000 was from a “national” AARP community challenge grant program. AARP Idaho provided the city of Nampa another $6,000 grant to supplement additional technology, according to Amy Bowman, Nampa’s director of communications.
