GARDEN CITY, Colorado — A 5-month-old puppy has been safely returned to its owners after nearly three weeks of investigation by northern Colorado authorities.
The micro exotic bully puppy, named Bluey, was taken from the Meza family’s home in Garden City on Oct. 22, the Greeley Police Department (GPD) said. During the first week after the theft, investigators reviewed surveillance footage to track potential leads. By the second week, they had identified a suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, which was found abandoned in the third week, according to the press release.
Garden City Police Officer Alyssa Bird then took the lead in locating both the suspect and Bluey, GPD said. Using information from the abandoned vehicle, she was able to narrow down the general area where the suspect might be. Although, it was uncertain whether the puppy remained in their possession…
