Birmingham police make 77 arrests in week-long crime crackdown

The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau has reported significant results from its recent week-long crime crackdown, which took place from Nov. 10 to Nov. 16, 2025. The Special Enforcement Division made 77 arrests, including 42 felony arrests and 35 misdemeanor arrests, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and improve the quality of life in the city.

In addition to the arrests, the division seized 13 firearms, conducted 187 traffic stops, and issued 290 citations, including 26 for speeding. The operation also resulted in the impounding of nine vehicles, with one stolen vehicle recovered.

The crackdown led to the seizure of various narcotics, including 66 grams of crack cocaine, 0.25 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of hydrochloride, 792.2 grams of marijuana, 0.25 grams of MDMA/ecstasy, 10.75 grams of methamphetamine, 41 grams of mushrooms, 4 grams of suboxone, 7 grams of synthetic marijuana, and 22 grams of THC pens…
