Little Change in Average Prices at the Pump

Gas prices held steady at the national level over the past week, while the average at the state level went up slightly. According to AAA, Monday’s national average price at the pump is $3.07 per gallon, which is up by a fraction of a cent. New York State saw its average increase by more than a cent to $3.13. And Chautauqua County’s average remains unchanged at $3.30. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.07 and $3.15, respectively.

As of Monday morning, oil was trading in the $59-63 range per barrel. According to the Energy Information Administration, gasoline demand decreased slightly over the past week, and demand is expected to increase as Thanksgiving approaches…
